We strive to position Nyungwe NP and Rwanda as leading ecotourism destinations. By training professional guides and promoting attractions that respect nature and support local communities, we aim to make tourism a powerful force for conservation and sustainable development..

Tackling Unemployment through Youth and Women Empowerment

Our focus is on creating jobs and nurturing entrepreneurship especially among youth and women. By equipping them with the skills and resources they need, we help them become key drivers of change in their communities.

Championing Integrated Biodiversity Conservation and Development

Protecting our environment goes hand in hand with fostering local development. We promote holistic, sustainable approaches where biodiversity conservation directly contributes to economic of locals and their social progress.

Training Undeserved Communities

we trains underserved communities on eco-friendly farming, conservation, ecotourism, climate resilience. We empower youth and women, promote agroforestry, and inspire stewardship through education and campaigns.

Our Initiatives

We aim to

The Gisakura Birdwatching Club, empowers local youth from childhood through bird conservation education. Founded by Claver Ntoyinkima, it trains students in bird identification and guiding, fostering environmental stewardship and sustainable livelihoods.

The project empowered over 200 youth by providing eco-tourism entrepreneurship training, promoting sustainable livelihoods, enhancing conservation awareness, and supporting innovative nature-based business ideas that align with environmental protection and community development goals.

NNFR planted to plant over 5,000 indigenous tree species to restore biodiversity, combat deforestation, protect wildlife habitats, and promote ecological balance, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable conservation and environmental resilience in surrounding communities

Shift from poaching to conservation ethics

This project replaces poaching with conservation by educating and empowering communities to protect wildlife and support sustainability.

Proper Waste Management & Recycling Around NNP

NNFR has trained over 2,000 youth in waste management, encouraging responsible waste use and environmental care around Nyungwe National Park.

Our journey as community guides began at NNFR, where we were trained by Claver and actively participated in the birdwatching club.
