Who We Are
Nature Nurture Future for Rwanda (NNFR) is a grassroots Rwandan nonprofit and nongovernmental organization dedicated to integrating environmental protection, wildlife conservation, and sustainable community development.We empower local communities particularly youth to become responsible stewards of natural resources, ensuring the harmonious coexistence of people and nature for future generations.

Our Vision and Mission
Vision: To foster a resilient Rwanda where empowered communities especially youth, they live in harmony with thriving forests and wildlife, free from poverty and hunger, and equipped to combat climate change for the well‑being of present and future generations.
Mission: To integrate environmental protection, wildlife conservation, and sustainable community development by empowering local communities, particularly the youth, to practice responsible stewardship of natural resources, ensuring the harmonious coexistence of people and nature for future generations.
Organizational Background
NNFR was founded by a passionate team of conservationists led by Clever Ntoyinkima, inspired by the urgent need to address poverty, environmental degradation, and climate change in rural of Rwanda.
We operate primarily in the five districts bordering Nyungwe National Park: Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, Rusizi, Nyamasheke, and Karongi, home to over six million people who rely heavily on subsistence agriculture.
What We Do
NNFR operates across multiple sectors to build a resilient, sustainable future:
- Sustainable Livelihoods
Eco-friendly farming, agroforestry, and entrepreneurship to boost food and income security. - Ecotourism Development
Conservation-based tourism initiatives in and around Nyungwe. - Conservation Education
Campaigns like “One Rabbit, One Tree per Child” to teach environmental stewardship. - Youth and Women Empowerment
Training and leadership development in conservation and sustainability. - Climate Change Adaptation
Promoting drought-resistant crops, soil recovery, erosion control, and renewable energy. - Water Resource Protection
Safeguarding watersheds and promoting clean water practices.
